Your dreams are yours to decide and yours to keep. They are yours to protect also. I think the biggest thing I’ve learned over the years is stay true to those goals and be careful who you share them with. Not everyone will think it’s a good idea, and it’s not even always that those people are meaning to be negative. It’s just that they don’t see the vision the way you see it. Doing something different or not the norm will draw people around you that may not agree with the path that you are choosing. I love the idea of just writing those goals down and keeping them to myself while I set about achieving them.
There may also be people that actually don’t want you to achieve those goals too, and for that reason you must protect those goals and dreams and stay true to your own decisions. A negative opinion can easily attach itself to your new grand idea and make you question whether or not you should proceed on this path. Sure, you can change your mind on things and decide to go in new directions at any given time too, and that is fine. I like to stay pretty fluid with how I go about achieving my goals, but the one thing is to keep those ideas and dreams safe. And the key is to work towards them each and every day.
