The Sunday Paper: LA Summer

Summer is here in Los Angeles, and you can feel it in the air. LA has the best weather in the world, I believe. The dry heat I will take any day over the humidity of a place like Florida. I also feel like the hangover of 2020 is finally wearing off, and the city is back. It’s an exciting place to be. A true melting pot of arts and culture. For me, it is the perfect place for me to do what we do. The ability to make our clothes here right in our backyard gives it a real “farm-to-table” feel so to speak and gives us so much flexibility as well in terms of what we can make. So for that, LA ticks a lot of boxes for me.

Yes, there are downsides to a place like this, but I feel you can either choose to focus on the bad of something or focus on the good. Any place you go to will have its plus points and its negatives, and every time I try to leave LA I always come to the realization that we already live in the best place for what we need. California is one of the most beautiful places in the world in general, and I feel privileged to be here and contribute to making it even better. Sometimes you forget what you have and think the grass will be greener elsewhere, but the grass is green where you water it. If you cease to water it, it will not grow. And that analogy holds true in anything. It is a continual create each and every day towards the desired goal!
